As I sit down to write this, I have wiped tears yet again from my eyes; happy tears, overwhelmed tears, grateful beyond words tears… This whole raising support thing has brought the humbling grace of God to a whole new level! What in the world?!

A while back I looked up the definition to grace and it was simply put:

Grace: Unmerited Favor.

Unmerited favor. Simply put. Profoundly transformational. And it is grace that I have received time and time again over the past two months. An opportunity so big that I cannot take it on my own is becoming a reality by the unmerited favor of so many of you! I wish I could adequately put into words what I have experienced in the past couple months and the anticipation for what the Lord has in store for the next couple years.

Yesterday, as well as this morning, I sat with God asking Him to teach my heart to understand grace. Sometimes a word can become so common place in our lives that the weight of it looses it’s impact… Yet this week pictures deeper than words have impressed themselves on my heart. In the past 3 days alone, I have received some gifts that are so unimaginable that they have left me speechless. People, hear me when I say this: we serve an amazing God who is able to do abundantly more than we could ever ask or imagine! I sit here right now typing to you, able to say that the training portion of my next year at WAC is paid for! I sit here right now typing to you, able to say that I have a car, with roof racks, to haul poles! I sit here right now typing to you and able to say that I have over 25% of my monthly income for the next year taken care of! WHAT IN THE WORLD!? Grace.

I say to you, “Do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body as to what you will put on… Your Father knows you need all these things… but SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and all these things will be added to you.” Grace.

“For the body is not one member, but many.” Grace.

For it is by GRACE you have been saved, through faith, it is the gift of God.

I can’t even figure out what to type next because the THANK YOU in my heart runs so much deeper than words can adequately express. All I can say is that we serve a big God. Who loves us so intimately that He gave His son for us. That through faith we receive unmerited favor in His eyes. He wants us to know Him as deeply as He already knows us. If you’ve never experienced the grace of God, where you sit right now, ask God to show you.

For those of you who have shown me the deepest picture of grace I’ve ever known, thank you! I pray that your heart would be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding tonight!
